The world of information technology is everywhere. It’s difficult to work in any organization and not realize the importance of IT professionals. When people speak of information technology jobs in a hospital setting they are typically speaking of Health Information Systems.

For a long time people from the IT field were applying for jobs in hospitals. The change of the health industry and the incorporation of technology lead to the Health Information Systems major for many colleges and universities.
